'Albert' can weigh anything from 40 lbs to almost 200 lbs depending on how much ballast the Instructors decide to load him up with. He - along with other bits of 'wreckage' - has to be found and recovered back to a road head or the Centre. On some courses Albert is found with a tag attached to him outlining his signs and symptoms of injury. Participants then have to assess and come up with a course of action for first aid treatment which they then relay to Instructors. This tends to concentrate the mind wonderfully in a rain storm two miles from the nearest road in temperatures around zero deg. C.
