 Sam

Experience in Norway, Israel's Negev Desert, and the Nepal Himalaya, along with serious multi ascents of the Welsh 3000s, regular annual winter climbing in The Cairngorms, traversing/instructing across Dartmoor's north-to-south route, Peak District, Lake District, and many 'lowland' areas has given Sam a thorough grounding in expedition management. He is a professional mountaineering equipment specialist working with 'Blacks' and (latterly a ski/ski boot/bindings fitter and mountain equipment retailer with) 'Snow & Rock'.  Extremely fit, and with a vast understanding of specialist outdoor equipment he has recently successfully completed a secondment with RM Commando Training. Sam is a Senior Instructor with Hunter, First Aid REC qualified, a qualified expedition leader, and a senior member of the Survival Training Team. MLTE Registered, Sam has just returned from Plas y Brenin's WGLA Training course.

Adam Dawson

Adam cut his teeth as a leader with the Scout movement becoming an Explorer Leader. He was paired up with Sam for an NVQ expedition leaders qual. and their partnership took off from there. Adam has an inordinate amount of outdoor leadership experience for someone of his age and has walked, trekked, and climbed in all major upland areas of the UK, climbed the Welsh 3000s, undertaken several Cairngorms expeditions - backpacking in winter conditions, plus separate winter mountaineering in the Cairngorms, the complete traverse of the Black Cuillins, Scottish solo mountaineering, and done the complete Everest Base Camp trek, with Sam - on foot - and climbed Kallipatthar. He is First Aid trained, and has successfully completed the Mountain Leader (Training) week.

Sean Cripps

Sean has a vast range of experience travelling. He is a former history teacher, BELA qualified, and now, as well as being a Volunteer Instructor with Hunter, is a professional battlefield tour guide.

Caroline Gunn

Volunteer Instructor. An avid outdoorswoman with great experience in some of the most inhospitable parts of the world, Caroline is an Antarctic Guide, and  undertaking her Doctorate in Polar Science. She has a considerable amount of experience trekking and backpacking as a leader. Qualifed Teacher. Survival Training Team.

 Mark Burbidge Life Skills Specialist

Mark is a teacher with unique and specialist skills in classroom based problem solving and teamwork challenges. His methods and strategies of delivery are very much in vogue in what Hunter is working on and we are privileged to have Mark as one of our Associates.

Mark Beaumont

Mark is an all-round outdoorsman, with experience in many fields including expedition work in Norway, leading youth and schools study courses across Dartmoor, Scouting, being being a retired police dog handler, and consumate Land Rover nut (Series II SWB). Currently with Hunter as a Logistics honcho.
